Auld Lang SynePosted on 2005-12-31 19:43:37
Here's a little something I just recorded to ring in the new year. Happy New Year everyone!
Highway To HellPosted on 2005-12-26 15:41:19
Time for more AC/DC wankage. I like their songs because of their simplicity. That makes it easier for me to play. Crank it up!
Back In Black (Take 2)Posted on 2005-12-19 17:53:42
This is my second attempt at one of AC/DC's tunes. My hammer-on/pull-offs are a little smoother, but I still have light-years to go. Now, I need to learn the solo...
Starry Night (Take 2)Posted on 2005-12-15 16:20:44
On this recording, I used a more mellow tone than I had previously. The first take was a little too bright for my taste. My playing is no where near "smooth as glass," but it was still fun to record. One day, I hope to be able to nail the tone. I'll never be good enough to match Joe Satriani, though!
Starry Night (Take 1)Posted on 2005-10-07 07:34:14
One of my favorite Joe Satriani tunes. I'm going to learn this one from beginning to end. So far, I've on recorded about a minute of me attempting to play this tune. I'll follow-up later with more.
Slow Funk (Take 1)Posted on 2005-10-02 22:04:02
This is my first take on Red Ant's backing track. I was just throwing notes at the track to see what might stick. I'll hammer-out a nicer version that might not have so many bad notes. I also noticed my timing was bad in parts, but that's not news.
Texas Flood (Take 1)Posted on 2005-08-23 23:23:01
Was in a bluesy mood tonight. I found this nice backing track that actually had someone singing. My guitar playing is bad enough -- I doubt you'd want me to sing... I've never heard this song before. So, I'm willing to bet the solo stuff ain't anything like that real song...
Top Gun Anthem (Take 2)Posted on 2005-07-16 16:26:50
This is my second attempt at recording a portion of this tune. I really buggered the first one trying to cut a portion of a guitar dive, and it really made it sound strange. I'm no where near close to being perfect, but it sounds okay to me.
Sweet ChilePosted on 2005-06-07 20:55:15
Once again, another futile attempt. I hope to get it right one of these days. This isn't the whole tune.
Miami NightsPosted on 2005-04-20 18:08:57
I believe this is probably the better of the out-takes on my improvisation of this backing track.
For The Love Of GodPosted on 2005-02-17 21:11:00
My take on a Steve Vai tune. Some of the phrasing is similar, but I believe that's where it all ends...
Rainy DayPosted on 2004-12-12 19:49:00
Second attempt at using the wah-pedal.
Crazy TrainPosted on 2004-11-25 17:48:00
One of my favorite tunes. Just wish I could do it justice.
Blueberry JamPosted on 2004-11-24 16:12:00
This is a rock-style jam. Some nasty notes, but that's defacto in my style.
When My Baby CriesPosted on 2004-11-21 20:55:00
This is a blues-style tune, and my first attempt at using the wah-pedal.
Electric BluesPosted on 2004-11-21 20:52:00
Blues with a little more electricity.
Blues RockPosted on 2004-11-21 20:50:00
Blues with a little kick.
Blues 1Posted on 2004-11-21 20:48:00
My first attempt at a blues track.
PanamaPosted on 2004-11-05 07:18:00
Van Halen's Panama -- just the intro. I was trying a new patch to see what the tone would sound like.
DeePosted on 2004-11-05 07:15:00
A Randy Rhodes tribute. I tried playing this on an electric, and it just doesn't sound the same. Sounds like I had quite a bit of clipping, as well.
